The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons in and for the State of Washington and Jurisdiction is an organization which embodies Integrity First, Service before Self and Excellence in All We Do. Order of Eastern Star State of Washington & Jurisdiction
In 1912, a convention was held of all the Chapters and with the consent and assistance of the Grand Lodge of Washington and Oregon of Negro Masons, plans were made to organize a Grand Chapter of Washington and Oregon separately. It was in July of 1913 in the city of Tacoma, the Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Washington and it’s Jurisdiction was organized.
Scottish Rite Masonry
The true origins of the Scottish Rite dwell in antiquity. However, the traceable portions date to circa 1733 in continental Europe. A formal Scottish Rite presence was established in the United States in 1801. Concerning the Scottish Rite among Prince Hall Masons, the first acknowledged Scottish Rite organization surfaced in Philadelphia circa 1820 culminating in the formation of the United Supreme Council, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Prince Hall Affiliation, Northern Jurisdiction, USA, Inc.
